Hello, my name is Ingrid Pino and I am not only the Founder and Owner of Home Help Services, I currently operate the Tyler location. I was born in Bogota, Colombia by German parents then immigrated to Canada at the age of 4 and finally moved to Texas in 2003 to participate in a one-year leadership internship. Seeing that the weather was much nicer in Texas, I decided to stay here and am proud to call Lindale home! I have completed my post-secondary education through Liberty University, achieving a Bachelors of Science in Religion, as well as completing the Undergraduate and Graduation Internships at Teen Mania Ministries. I have a passion to travel and to-date, I have visited 29 different countries both for pleasure and missions. I am trilingual in German, Spanish and English which has come in handy when traveling along with my previous role as the Director of Domestic Operations with Global Expeditions where my responsibilities included organizing mission trips in both Mexico and South-East Asia. I enjoy running, baking, gardening, camping, and just about any home repair or remodeling project! I have loved the Lord from a young age and enjoy serving in my local church as a youth leader as well as the local Christian community through my role as a Children’s Leader with Bible Study Fellowship. On the global side, I have spent a portion of every summer for the past 15 years, serving and leading students aged 13-17 on overseas mission trips with Global Expeditions. This summer I will taking a team of 75 students to South Africa for two weeks to serve alongside local missionaries who work with the families in the squatter camps by providing for both their physical and spiritual needs.
I began this company after a personally challenging season of looking for work in the Tyler, Texas area. I spent a year and a half applying to over 50 jobs while working several part-time, minimum-wage jobs and repeatedly being told that I was overqualified for available positions. I began attending training courses to become certified to teach in the State of Texas but soon discovered that Tyler was preparing to lay off 35% of their current teaching staff which would not leave many open positions for the 700 individuals taking the course with me along with the 35% of laid-off teachers who would also be applying for those positions. In March of 2011, I had a life-changing experience during an interview with Driedra Breslford, the owner of Breslford Personnel, in which I felt empowered and inspired to start my own company. Instead of waiting for a job, I would create a job, and hopefully create others jobs for some of the other 8.25% of Americans who were also unemployed and looking for work. A mere 2 months later, on May 16, 2011, Texas Home Help Services LLC was officially open for business!
Through the advice provided by the Small Business Development Center, personal mentors, friends and family, we began growing immediately. A short while later, on May 26th 2011, my story was features in the Business section of the Tyler Morning Telegram and the growth increased! In these two years, I have become a member of the Tyler Executive Women’s Network, completed the Better Business Bureau’s Incubator Program, was selected as a participate in Class 26 of Leadership Tyler and was recognized as the Client of the Year for S.C.O.R.E and TJC’s Small Business Development Center both locally and on a nation level. It has been a tremendous honor for me to serve the community of Tyler by providing our clients with quality service at an affordable price as well as creating jobs for our more than 100 Contract Workers to-date.
Since launching the Tyler branch, we have now opened several additional locations in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012; Tallahassee, Florida in 2014 and Lexington, South Caroline will soon open for business. It is my personal dream is continue growing the local Tyler branch of Home Help Services while expanding through additional franchising to other locations throughout the United States and Canada!
